Ankyloglossia or tongue-tie is a condition where the tissue connecting the tongue to the floor of the mouth is shorter or thicker than normal, limiting its mobility. It can cause breastfeeding difficulties in newborns and speech problems in older children. Frenotomy or frenuloplasty is a quick and safe procedure that releases the tongue and immediately improves its function.
